Our H1 Grade Ceylon Cinnamon/Dalchini

Cinnamon produced in Sri Lanka, erstwhile Ceylon and southern regions of India is the only “True” Cinnamon, scientifically and historically speaking. It is produced from the dried inner bark of the “Cinnamomum verum” plant. “True” Cinnamon is light/tan brown in color and has a woody aroma and a mild and sweet flavor. It is a premium quality spice that is extremely safe to use due to its low coumarin content, unlike its low-quality substitute – Cassia. It is one of the earliest known spices and several historical texts mention their use in Egyptian funerals and there are several mentions of it in the Holy Bible.

CEYLON ORIGIN: Our Cinnamon is sourced exclusively from Sri Lanka, erstwhile Ceylon. It is “True” Ceylon Cinnamon rolls or quills produced by the “Cinnamomum verum” trees. It is processed and packed in our hygienic processing facility to retain their natural freshness, aroma and nutrients.
